5-Day Club

What is a Summer 5-Day Club®?

5-Day Club® is an exciting, fun-filled hour and ½ held each day for five consecutive days. It includes: dynamic Bible lessons, creative learning activities, inspiring missionary story, meaningful songs, life-changing Scripture memorization.

Who sponsors the club?

5-Day Club is sponsored by CEF®, an international, Bible-centered organization, which has been in existence for over 70 years. CEF currently ministers in over 160 countries, teaching biblical principles to more than eight million children each year.

Who can attend?

5-Day Club is open to all boys and girls between the ages of five and twelve, regardless of religious background. You are welcome to attend the club with your child.

Who teaches the club?

Christians who are concerned for the spiritual well-being of your child teach the club. These teachers have received specialized training from CEF.

Is there any cost?

There is no charge for your child to attend. An optional missionary offering will be taken each day.

How will the club benefit your child?

Your child will learn: biblical principles, moral values, character qualities, respect for authority.

Will your child be safe?

CEF has taken specific steps to insure the safety of your child. All club workers have been carefully screened as required by CEF's child protection policy.

Pam's Support Letter

There are children right here in Monterey County who have no idea that Jesus is their Savior and they may never step foot in a church. These children are not told that they were created by a loving God who has a purpose for their life. These children will be our future leaders in this community and throughout our world.

God has provided a unique organization to reach these children: Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF). CEF was established in 1937 and is sharing the gospel of Christ with children in Monterey County as well as over 157 different counties around the world.

Since September 2004, God has given me opportunities to serve in this mission field with CEF in various capacities, and I am blessed to tell you that effective mid-January I will, once again, be a staff member for CEF of Monterey County, working at least 25 hours a week.

Some of my duties will include:
· Teaching and organizing three Afterschool Good News Clubs, which are like high-powered Sunday school classes, but taught in public schools (an amazing opportunity!)
1. Crumpton-Marina (taught last year)
2. La Mesa-Monterey (re-establishing, last taught in 2006)
3. Foothill-Monterey (new club)
· Teacher trainings (Sunday school and Good News Clubs)
· Community outreaches
1. Monterey County Fair
2. KCBA Kid Fest-Monterey Fairgrounds
3. Peace Rally-Salinas
4. 5 Day Clubs/ Party Clubs-Apartment complexes

I am writing for three reasons. Firstly, the Monterey CEF team needs your prayers. Please pray God will bind us together as a team as we do His work and reach out to children in our community. Pray for lives and hearts to be changed as we share Bible lessons from the Word of God, inspiring missionary lessons, memory verses and songs with these children. Pray that God will be glorified and many children will come to know the Lord. Pray for workers as we need three helpers for each Good News Club (90 minutes once a week is all we need!).

Secondly, in order to raise the needed financial support. If you would like to help support financially please send a check to CEF to the address below.

Lastly, friends, I need your prayers as I continue to walk by faith with God. I see this as a two-fold blessing: He has opened this door of opportunity for me to do what I love the most, tell children about His love for them, and He is also providing for my needs through it.
